Two focused days
Before the intensive, both partners complete an assessment and meet with me individually. This gives me a fuller picture of the relationship before we begin the work together.
During the intensive, we slow down the patterns underneath the conflict - not simply how to argue better. We look at what each of you is experiencing, what keeps pulling you back into the same cycle, and what needs to change for something different to become possible.
You leave with a clearer understanding of what has been happening between you, what you can begin doing differently, and recommendations for what comes next.

Couples Intensives in Texas
Dana Sutter, LCSW-S, Certified Couple Therapy Informed Provider (CCTIP), EFT-trained couples therapist
Some couples don't need more weeks. They need more time in a single stretch.
When you keep having the same fight, feel increasingly disconnected, or keep running out of time just when weekly therapy gets somewhere important, the format itself can become part of the problem.
A two-day couples intensive gives you the time to slow things down, understand what is actually driving the pattern, and stay with the work long enough for something to shift.
This is individualized clinical care for one couple.
not a group workshop or one-size-fits-all weekend program. Your intensive is built around a clinical assessment of your relationship, with focused treatment planning based on what is actually happening between the two of you.
Two-day couples intensive | Telehealth, with in-person sessions available on request | $3,500
Limited introductory pricing is available for the first five booked intensives. Ask about availability during your free consultation.

A couples intensive may be a good fit if…
- You keep having the same argument without ever reaching the issue underneath it.
- One of you pursues while the other shuts down, withdraws, or becomes overwhelmed.
- You feel increasingly disconnected even though you still care about the relationship.
- Weekly therapy has helped, but an hour never seems long enough to get where you need to go.
- You want concentrated time to understand the relationship rather than stretching the same conversation across months of appointments.

When ADHD or neurodivergence is part of the relationship
ADHD can create patterns that look like relationship problems.
One partner feels ignored or overwhelmed. The other feels criticized or like they are constantly failing. Missed details, shutdown, different ways of communicating, and years of misunderstanding can turn into the same argument again and again.
I bring an ADHD-informed, attachment-based approach to couples work. I am a Certified ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), and I understand neurodivergence from both clinical training and lived experience.
You Don't Have to Know Whether Your Relationship Can Be Saved.
You just need to decide whether it is worth taking two focused days to understand what happened and what comes next.
